Security Updates for Windows XP won't install

All attempts to install security updates for the last month or more have
failed. The most recent is for Security Update for Windows XP (KB905749). The
error message I receive is: 0x8020001B. --

I'm sorry, but this isn't enough information to get focused
troubleshooting. It can be very hard for a non-technical person to know
what to include in a post to a tech support newsgroup. Here is a link

You have something seriously wrong with your computer, but it is hard to
tell with no more of the error message than that. 0x8010001B is an address
in system space...
But, that is all anyone can say.
