How do I know which version of IE 6 I am running, so will
know which version of the Security Update to download?
Do I want the SP1, SP1 for Windows XP SP1 64-bit or
Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP?
 
You can find out which version you have by looking in
Help/About IE when IE is open.

Is your operating system XP? If so, you will only have
success with downloads that are specifically marked as
applying to XP (although it seems to me that some so
marked are not accepted as valid when it comes to
installing.) If you do not have XP, you definitely don't
want anything intended for XP only.
