I've been reading all the threads concerning IE6 and security update
KB942615. I'm not at all adept at some of the solutions posted. I've removed
the update to avoid the error message. Will updating to IE7 solve this
problem? I do not like IE7 but will do so to avoid a security breach. Also I
tried to do some of the solutions posted but have not had any luck at solving
the problem. Is there a novice way of solving this or is it better to use
Firefox until MS comes up with a fix?

Thank you in advance for your responses. I'm pretty much a newbie to getting
into the inner workings of these programs.

I have MSIE 7 installed, and the latest patches have not caused any problems
with any of three computers running it. I have avoided posting in those
threads because I don't have MSIE 6 on any computer but one running Windows
ME (can't install MSIE 7 on that one); and it isn't supported by MSFT at all
any more.
