I think I understand what you are saying - but in that case we will "close
down" the option for the entire company - or? On the other hand, I can't
right now see any good reason why I should see all the others' details when
planning a meeting, for instance. It should be enough with "the Colours" and
busy/free. What's the use with me seeing, not only that my boss is busy at a
certain time, but also that he's busy with a "rehab meeting" with A. A-son?!

This is (the way I see it) not a mailbox issue. It's a question of giving me
the possibility to master to what extent i'm willing to share my calendar in
the cases mentioned before.This without having to use the "private check-box"
for every new notation. Again; IF the planner options - under tools - worked
the other way around (what I show, instead of what I see) I would be happy.
That is my question - does the posibility excist? Don't think so - actually!

The option in calendar settings affects only whether I shall see mine and
others on MY own computer. I'm looking for the option that enables me to show
only the different colours from my calendar in all the other pc's - without
having to show them "Private event" on every occation.
