Hello. I take my personal laptop to my work and plug into
the network just for internet access over their proxy.
When I return to my home's network, I do not have
administrative rights to do anything on my own network.
Is there something I can do to have my laptop not change
any rights or know what rights have been changed so I can
switch them back easily?

As your personal laptop is not a member of the work domain, it should not be
getting security policies applied to it?
Unless it is a member of the domain, though you mention you only connect to
use internet.
I would ask your administrator at work why he thinks this is happening,
should be interesting
