Hello
I am worried about using a Windows XP embedded platform on a live
network considering the numerous security problems of generic windows.
I understand that if you keep up to date on service packs using
windows update, the security problem is minimized for generic windows.
Since XP embedded can not use Windows Update but instead uses DUA, how
is this problem addressed using XP embedded?
Do you have to download all the patches for regular XP, covert them
into a form for use with DUA and then place them on your DUA server.
Isn't this time consuming? What is the standard practice? Is it
documented someplace?
