security patches

I have searched this users group but I can not find a clear answer.

I have installed the Desktop QFE Support. I would like give my
customers the ability to install security patches. With the Desktop
QFE Support installed how would an end user install patches? Where do
they find the downloadable files?

Dan,

The best sources for the patch binaries would be https://microsoft.embeddedoem.com/
Specifically for SP2 updates, https://microsoft.embeddedoem.com/content.asp?path=/downloads/winxp/xpesp2/installerupdates.

Since you got the Desktop QFE Support component downloaded, I believe you got access to the OEM Secure website.

I don't believe these OEM sites are not available to my customers. How
would my customers get the patches?

Otherwise they can download regular XP Pro patches (search microsoft.com for download links).

Sorry for my ignorance, I did not realize the Pro patches would work on
XP Embedded.
