J Jonathan Kay [MVP] Aug 14, 2003 #2 Greetings Judy, To correct, install this patch: http://microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp If this happens again (say while you're downloading the patch), click Start, then Run, then type "cmd" and click OK. Then on the command line, type: shutdown -a This will abort the shutdown and allow you to install the patch. You can then remove any worm that causes this that may have infected your PC using this tool: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Windows MVP, Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com
