Security Patch for XP

I have recently installed Hexagon banking application on
an xp machine which runs a co-operate domain server. The
user changed their password and then when they loged on
again into the application to do updates, the following
errror message came up. "Object variable or With block
variable not set" I was told by the company's helpdesk
that this is a security conflict between xp and hexagon so
I need a security patch from microsoft. They said it is
to do with reseting passwords. Can you help me as we need
to change password occasionally.
