Using Outlook 2002, is there a way to password protect or
encrypt an e-mail or folder to limit access of view to
only those that need to know? We rae not on Exchange but
on a network. Need to hide payroll-related info from
network administrators who have access to our PST files.

Thanks for your public service.

You can password protect and entire .pst but not individual folders within
the .pst.

Also, I would raise this concern to your CFO if you think that confidential
financial information is being snooped by nosy admins who do not need access
to these files.

A-LOCK for email will encrypt with a mouse click.

Also, for files/folders, use PC-ENCRYPT

Saw your post and thought you could help
How do I hide Notes in Outlook. I have personal info in there, and I want to hide certain notes
If possible, send directly to my e-mail, (e-mail address removed)

To whom are you replying?

Anyway, create a subfolder on the Notes folder and place your personal Notes
in there. Remove permissions from the folder so that nobody else but you can
connect to it.
