over the last 2 or 3 weeks nearly every time i connect to the net something
installs shortcuts on my favourites menu and puts shortcuts on my desktop,it
also changes my home page to something like www.genealogysearch.com. I have
tried to find an easy answer but nothing seems to stop this,Do i need to
adjust a setting or download a patch? what can i do? I am running IE6 Win
2000 Pro,I have sygate F/wall and McAfee virus scan installed but even the
F/Wall doesnt stop it.I dont know if this is the right place for this but i
am really at a loss as to what to do next---Please help if you can

Many Thanks

Tugw,
This type problem usually occurs when you download some kind
of software from a website, that then hijacks your browser settings.

Did you look in Add Remove? Have you contacted them?

Thanks for the help,
Ive tried your suggestions but they still come
back !! Im sure they are hiding somewhere on my hard disk but i cant find
them, Maybe a full re-install?
They are not a problem in themselves but i find
the whole thing unacceptable there must be a way of bringing the braindeads
who do this to justice(9mm Bullet springs to mind).
Anyway there still with me.
