Hi,

I have shared folders for my users so they can share files with each other.

Here's what my folder setup looks like.

Shares
Users
username1
username2
username3
etc.

I want all users to access each user's folder to read and execute files. I
want each user to have complete control of his or her folder, except for
deleting it.

Here's what I have now for my NTFS security:

Everyone - Read & Execute - This folder, subfolders and files
Administrators - Full Control - This folder, subfolders and files
%username% - Write - This folder, subfolders and files
%username% - Full Control - Subfolders and files only

Share permissions allow full control to everyone.

Is this setup correct?
If not, how should they be set up?
Is there a best practices for setting up shares like these?

Thanks!!!

It looks good if the permissions you list for %username% are for their own
folders. Just be sure to test it out though. --- Steve

Thanks Steven,

It works pretty good. I'm wondering if there's a better or recommended way
of setting it up.
