I'm looking for confirmation on the existence of encryption for transmissions during a Terminal services session or the Remote Desktop connection from Windows XP. Are there any white papers on the subject/subjects as well? Any assistance would be appreciated

Remote Desktop is encrypted natively. Here is one reference to that from the Resource Kit. There may
be others...

Here's another one--others can be found in help on XP.

The default for an XP to XP connection is 128 bit key--also for XP to
Windows Server 2003. For Windows 2000 it is more complicated, and I don't
have a chart at hand--I think after a given SP the default became 128 bit,
but I'm not completely sure how it works. I know I set my PPTP VPN's to
only connect at the highest encryption strength, and they do!
