I'm getting a security msg when trying to convert a 97db to 2003. "The
current user doesn't have permission to open or enable this database.
However, we're not using Access security features.

Hi.
I'm getting a security msg when trying to convert a 97db to 2003. "The
current user doesn't have permission to open or enable this database.

The Access 97 database has user-level security implimented. Find the Access
97 workgroup information file that was used to secure the database, then join
it with Access 2003, then open the Access 97 database. And yes, you will
need to log into the workgroup as the owner of the database before converting
it to Access 2003.

HTH.
