security issue

Same thing with:
SHUT DOWN - WIN98 - USB ADSL ALE 130 in Windows 98 General discussions
group
and
Trusted Zone: "*.0.0.0.0" in Access Security discussions group

That were published in the Microsoft discussions groups.

Could you please remove my email address from them ??

Some web forums "slurp" the newsgroups--that is to say they pull threads
directly from the newsgroups and publish them as posts to the forum to
create traffic.

Just a hint--never post with an unmunged address unless you are aware of the
consequences and are prepared to deal with the spam/virus emails that will
soon be flooding your inbox.

I've published some issue on Microsoft discussions groups:

microsoft.public.win98.performance

Later I've found them INCLUDING MY EMAIL ADDRESS on:

How does it happened ??

Could you please remove my email address from these cases ??

It happens because you didn't follow security norms when making public
posts, and didn't read up on using Usenet before posting.

In most cases, those that have been around for a while, post with a
munged email address or other invalid email address and include a way to
contact them in their "sig" space.

It also helps if you use a real Usenet client and not an email client so
that you don't get the two forms of communication confused.

There is nothing you can do about posts you've already made, most forums
and usenet servers will not allow you to have your posts yanked.

Your email is also in Google... in their discussion groups.
and in many others which can read USENET . No matter where you post , never
include your real email. Make the newsreaded generate a false address for you
or you make a false address manually. Nobody here provides email support -
posted here ,answered here and that's it. Make sure you have antivirus always
ON and good SPAM filter in case you fall victim of spammers.
