Hello all, I'm a Realtor who utilizes our local MLS
symstem. I have a new desktop with windows xp office.
My problem is when I go to my MLS login page to type in
my user id and password windows has somehow stored it
with some type of auto-select or auto-fill. I'm trying
to figure out how to disable that feature. If anyone can
help me it would be most appreciated!

Assuming you are using Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet
Options. Go to the Content tab and click on the AutoComplete button. In
the dialog box that pops up, you can select what (if anything) you wish
to be remembered, and you can also clear the stored information. The
appropriate in your case I guess would be to uncheck "User names and
passwords" and then click on the Clear Passwords button. I hope this
solves your issue.

Go to Tools> Internet Options and select Content tab. Click on AutoComplete
button. Uncheck the desired box or all of them if you need to. Click on
Clear Forms/Passwords to erase everuthing.

I am thinking you are talking about your password to log onto the internet.

If you are then what you are describing is the dots that cover up your
previously saved password this is inbuilt into XP and is there for your
protection.

It hides your password length from your work mates etc etc.
