I have a database which I can open but cannot see the objects:
tables/queries/forms/reports or macros. I am certain the objects are still
there due to the size of the DB 17,404 KB> I last used the db in February and
created a new query. Then in March, I tried to use it again and ran into
this situation. I have restored back to the last used date, but still am
having the problem. I've reviewed the security, which I am the owner of the
db and log in as admin, which is in the admins group. I am stumped ... I am
using Access 2007, and this is an Access 2000 format. I've tried converting
it, at which I get the error that I can't because I am not the administrator.
One note is that is does run 'repair' upon opening?

Any thoughts or solutions would be extremly appreciated!

Thank You!

They may be hidden. Try showing hidden object under Tools, Options.

I would at least also try opening it with an earlier version of Access...i.e.
XP or 03 if at all possible for sanity comparison purposes....

Hi Keith,

Thank you so much for your input. Although the tools, options to "shown
hidden objects" was not accessible, I did a right click on the object menu,
and found "navigation options" under which is 'display options'. There I
was able to select, Show Hidden Objects, Show Search Bar and Show System
Objects. After selecting all three, my object menu now populates but is
grayed - when trying to run anything I get an error that says, Unknown Error.
However, I AM able to review the design views etc that I really needed to
get at. It is a fairly simplistic db and one I can now easily rebuild. I
did try to relink and received a permission error.

Thank you so very much for your suggestion.. tremendous help and you saved
me a lot of work of rebuilding the db blindly.

Thank you for your suggestion. This is a good idea and if need be I will try
to locate someone who has the old version. Our entire department switch to
2007....
