I have IE 6.0 loaded on a Windows XP Pro Machine. Whenever I go to secure
sights, I always get the following information:

Security Information
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display
the nonsecure items?

I have to click OK a 100 or more times a day.

How do I disable this dialog box? I have already checked in tools internet
options advanced and go to the security options and made sure the option warn
in changing between secure and non secure mode is unselected and it was.

In IE, go to Tools...Internet Options...Security tab, click the Internet
Zone to select, click Custom button, scroll down to the Misc. section and
set "Display mixed content" to Enable or Disable. You currently have it set
as Prompt.

From - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/security/setup.mspx

Display mixed content. This option specifies whether Web pages can display
content from both secure and non-secure servers. This option has the
following settings:

• Disable, which prevents Web pages from displaying non-secure content.

• Enable, which allows Web pages to display both secure and non-secure
content.

• Prompt, which prompts users before allowing Web pages to display both
secure and non-secure content.

Jon:

Thank you for your quick response. This did the trick :)

Hi,

I believe that a Group Policy is preventing me from using the circumvention
described above. When I go to Tools...Internet Options...Security tab and
click the Internet Zone the buttons Sites, Custom level, Default level and
Reset all zones to default level are dimmed and unclickable.
I log in as Administrator. Can I remove or reset these Group Policy settings
as they are set for a different class of user not me?
