Security for MS Office 12 Beta...

I want to know if it is wise to download and use Windows Defender with MS
Office 12 beta...I had to stop using AVG Pro because it sop me from
downloading HTML emails completly...I'm scare to download any Virus
protection just for that fact...

What should I do...Keywizz
 
You should find an antivirus solution that works, immediately. I'd
recommend going back to AVG, but do a custom install, and don't install the
email portion. That code is redundant--you are protected against viral
attachments when you attempt to open them.

I'm running Office 12 beta on a machine with Windows Defender on it and have
observed no bad interactions, but I really haven't done much with it--just
gotten the apps installed and looked at them briefly--no real work.

Don't view Windows Defender as a substitute for the antivirus--it is not.
