I have created an Access database for a company, but I don't want to leave
the navigation panel open for all employees to be able to go in and alter. I
need to somehow lock this information for management only. How can I do this?

The short answer is not easily. ULS is a complex topic and is littered with
pitfalls for the inexperienced. There's a link to the ULS FAQ on my website
and there's also a step-by-step example. Caution - experiment on dummy
files until you are confident you have it right.

if you mean the Navigation Pane of Access2007; go to the Office Button and
select 'Access Options' in the lower right

then select 'Current Database'

and you will see a Navigation checkbox that you can undo to hide the
Navigation Pane ....
