Security Centre has never shown Windows Defender.

System: Windows Media Center Edition 2005.

WD appears to be running normally but has never been shown in Security Centre.

What should I do?

Nothing. The security center will try to detect Anti-virus and Firewall
software. Windows Defender is anti-spyware. However, Vista adds Defender
and provides a tracking interface for anti-spyware programs.
