Big Mac

I have a new computer with XP on it. I access a website off of a
poker room I play in (small stakes).

Today, with my new computer, I go to access the website. I get the
usual "security alert - you are about to access a secure connection"
or something like that, so I click yes (go ahead) , then I get a
secondary alert, something like: "the website date is ok but the name
doesn't match", you get the idea. Ok. I am used to those, and I like
to see them. I say go ahead anyway to that, then I get another
security alert saying "you are about to leave a secure website, etc" i
say yes, but nothing happens. i hit yes 10 times, nothing happens but
the highlight of the little alert window i am trying to get out of.
So I then try to click and drag the window over to another spot, and
underneath it is another duplicate window. I try to drag the new one,
and underneath is another duplicate too. I click the X on the top of
the window to delete them - i had to delete like 15 or more in rapid
fire succession before another would not appear.

Then finally I got to the page i wanted to get to, and click on yet
another link I had to go through - well the same thing happens - about
20 layers of security alert windows I had to X out of before I could
proceed.

Well, I finally get to where I want to be and save the page. I don't
want to not see the security alert windows, I like them, so i don't
check "don't show me this anymore".

But I am wondering -

** Is this phenomenon something to do with my new computer &/or
Windows XP settings or Explorer settings,

**or is a bad website access or something causing it?

One window should be all I have to get by, not 15 or 20. Oh, i also
installed Norton anti-virus, if that makes any difference (I don't
think so).

If you have accessed this site before without this happening, I would think
that this was a problem on the server end. Hopefully a temporary glitch.
May want to clear out your browser cache (Internet Options> General> TIF>
Delete Files) just in case a corrupt cache is complicating matters.

Mac,
Just tick the warning box when it first comes up, and then press 'yes', as
this only applies to that particular warning event.
This does not inhibit the warning notice boxes appearing for future events.
Rob.
