I cannot get spyware to automatically protect my computer or load upon
windows startup. It used to when I first installed then stopped doing it. I
have not been able to determine the problem.

Try this solution:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)

2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without the quotes).

3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware"

Eventually if it doesn't work try the installation of a Service Pack for the
Visual Basic 6 runtime: This link is for SP6, but SP5 also appears to be
effective.
