If a client computer connected in a vpn and this client
computer is effected by virus and has a back door open, is
it possible that some can use the back door to attack my
vpn computers through this affected computer?
I am a little worried about this because I found after I
uncheck the "Use default gateway on remote network" my
internect connection is restored. But before that the
internect connection seems is blocked.

KB 254231 explains what happens when you change to "use default gateway
... " setting. Basically, it changes your default route setting.

Bruce Lee !

If your computer is affetced by a virus with, say, a Spy-
Ware payload, then yep, its possible becuase they can see
all your keystrokes and setup by peering though the
backdoor you left open (e.g. virus called BackOrifice is a
good example - do a Google search for spy-ware).

Buy a good anti-virus product, install a personal software
firewall (e.g. ZoneAlarm) and/or an router/firewall to
your cable/ADSL (e.g. DLink, LinkSys, Buffalo).

You MUST check/clean you computer with anti-virus software
offline to know you haven't any clever virus infections
before loading the products I mentioned above AND before
re-connecting to your network. This should give you
concrete protection and lots of new skills !
