Securing USB Keys

I just bought a Sandisk Cruzer Micro USB flash with U3 on board. I chose
this one because of the ability to password protect, but the U3 software is
incompat with Vista. A U3 update from Sandisk's site does not help.

The Cruzer is, however, available as a removable drive.

Is there some way I can password protect this flash drive? Barring that, is
there a device that *will* work securely with Vista?

Thanks!

Same drive?

The latest update works fine here.

I've tried it on Ultimate and on a Home Premium laptop. Bot will recognize
the drive but refuse to install the driver for the U3 section of the drive.

Having just done some reading on this issue, it seems that U3 USB drives
with firmware versions 2.1.5 & 2.2.1 will work on vista, while other
versions will not. Still doesn't help me, but at least it's a known entity.
