How do I secure personal data on a PC if all these are applicable?
++ PC is connected to corporate LAN
++ running Win NT4 SP5
++ the admin username & password are known to many people
++ the admin username & password are common on all PC
++ I am not allowed to change the admin password

How to stop someone who know the admin username & password from
accessing data on my HD? Assuming only certain folders need to be
secured, and the data need to be accessed on daily basis.

It was quite a shock when a colleague needed to send me a huge file
and he just login to my HD from his workstation & started copying the
file to my C: drive.

TIA.

Try freeware TrueCrypt -- a good way to carve yourself out a secure
personal area on an open computer:

Unfortunately it supports only XP & Win2K. I am still running NT4SP5
on my PC (and I can't upgrade it due to corporate policy).

Any other way to create a secured personal area on my PC?
