securing my software

hello,
i want to make some security for my software, so it will not be copied to
another computer.
i was thinking of making the software checks the registry for a certain key
that i already added
or maybe checking the content of a certain file that i already hide it
somewhere in the hard disk..

so how can i do this ? i hope u can tell me both ways

Are you talking about a Microsoft Access database? Are you packaging it and
releasing it with the Access Run Time?

You will need to tell us what "my software" is.

yes sure, i'm working with microsoft access, so i need a vba guide i guess
i thought it will be clear since it's discussion group for microsoft access
