Securing Multiple Databases

I'm new to Access security so please forgive my question.

I have several databases which I've created with Access
2000. I want my users to access the databases, through
the switchboard, but not be able to view the tables,
queries & forms. I also don't want my users to have to
complete the login screen.

I've worked with the "Access Security FAQ", but I must be
missing something. I'm thinking I would setup a workgroup
and give myself access to everything and give the
group "User" access only to specific stuff and make Admin
a member of the group "User" and remove it from the
group "Admins". Then, my users would get the rights of
the User group.

Even if my understanding is correct, it's still not
working right for me. Even if I get one database correct,
I can't get another one to work using the same workgroup.

Could anyone outline how I can accomplish this. I
understand I'm being vague about why it's not working, but
it not consistant.

I really appreciate the help!

But that's what this newsgroup is for!!

I don't see anything wrong there.

Well, it would help if you could elaborate on '' it's still not working
right for me".

Did you create a *new* workgroup to secure the database?

Essentially you follow the steps 1-7. At step 8 you don't create any
groups.
Instead you assign the permissions to the Users group that you want the
world to have.
Ship the app without this mdw. Users will use their default system.mdw
workgroup, get logged in as Admin and inherit the permissions for the Users
group. There
would be no login required by users.

When you want to make design changes, you'd use your secure.mdw to log in as
the user with administrative permissions.

Post back with some specifics as to what's not working.
