HI,

Is there a way I can ensure that a user can do all entry operations but
cannot copy an access file or steal the data into any media by any means?

Thanks
Ramesh

The file need to be accessed before data can be entered.
How can you trust a person for data entry but not to copy or otherwise
change the document?

You may need to remove the file from the persons access if security of the
file is that important.

HI Jones,

I need to this person to only make entries but shouldnt be able to copy the
file itself onto some media like a CD.

Is that possible?

If they can write, they can copy. However, why not look into using GPE
to deny access to the cd-rw drive? Or, since this is a business, remove
the cd-rw drive entirely. Check with the Group Policy experts about
denying permission to usb ports:

You could take out the CDRW and the floppy, but then they'd still be able to
use a USB drive if they wanted to. Depending on what the file is, they could
also print a hard copy, email it, or fax it from the computer.

You've got a lot of security holes if you can't trust this person and if the
file is that important.

And just to go along with the "if you trust the person to enter data..."
here's a rather trenchant comment by MVP Robert Moir:

which says it all.
