Hello

For those of you who are new to security, there are some simple steps
to make your computer operate better. I use w2k, but I believe the
same steps are applicable to wxp

1) turn off the services you don't need and update Microsoft
2) download scanners that check for malware
3) stop using internet explorer for a browser
4) supplement your firewall with a router
5) monitor your machine processes
6) monitor your machine connections

I used to be plagued by various hijacks and viruses. Since I started
this set of procedures, the scanners always come up clean. An added
note, except for the router, all these services come in free ware
versions



1)Procedure
Disabled all services I did not use www.blackviper.com
Disable netbios

Update Microsoft

3)Browser

4)Hardware
Di 604 router

5)monitor your programs

I admire your faith in MS updates. I don't share it.
