We have a secured database that worked fine until moved to a new server. It
even worked on the new server until they shut off the old one yesterday.
The shortcut target is changed to the new paths. It opens Access but not the
database. No error message. Any ideas where we should look, what we are
missing? Thanks very much for any ideas.

Give us more details. I presume that per best practices the database
is split between FE on each machine and BE on the server? Where is the
MDW file? Show us the full shortcut.

Target path in shortcut is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "X:\Telehealth\Telehealth\UPTN.mdb" /wrkgrp
"X:\Telehealth\Telehealth\Secured.mdw"
For Start in I tried both "C:\Program Files\Microfoft Office\Office" and
also tried using "X:\Telehealth\Telehealth" with the same results. Access
opens but not the database.
Yes for the back end being on the server.
Thanks very much for any ideas.

The "Start In" does not matter for this issue.

You can first verify that indeed the X-drive now points to the new
server. Let's assume it is.
Next we can surmise that UPTN.mdb is what we call a "monolithic"
application, i.e. the tables, queries, forms, reports etc are all in
one file. That is VERY BAD but probably not the cause of your
problems.
You didn't say what version of Access you are using. If A2007 you may
need to re-set the Trust Center settings.
Also ensure user has read/write/create permission on the share, the
folder, and the files.

Still wondering about my "VERY BAD" statement? See
http://allenbrowne.com/ser-01.html and many other resources on this
topic. If your app is already split, then the FE should be on each
workstation and the shortcut to the MDB should most likely point to
the C-drive, not the X-drive. The MDW is OK to be on a shared drive.

Yes i'm sure it's very interressing, but si vous pouviez traduire en
