I have locked down C drives using local security NTFS settings before, and
the system worked OK. I don't care if users read from the drive, I just want
them to not write to the drive.
So I am just wondering if this can be done from gpo.

Anyone in this group know?

There is a VB script which will restore the default permissions to an NTFS
drive. I forget the URL, but you should be able to find it on technet. This
