folks, something of a neophyte here, but here goes
inexplicably, during startup my home computer delivers a text message that
"secondary drivers" are missing. it doesn't specificy which secondary
drivers. it does say, in another message during startup, that it can't find
"secondary drivers 0, 1."
the system does load up when i hit f1 to continue, but the whole startup
process is now slowed. when i hit f2 to the startup menu, and check the hard
drives, it says "off," (if i recall) for secondary master and slave drives.
when i try to change it auto, it doesn't recognize the change.
any clues? again, I'm not tech savvy, so hunting around in obscure files
makes me uncomfortable, and so does making elaborate changes to the
underlying files.
you may also message me at (e-mail address removed)
thank you
