Hey All,
Quick question, we have a primary DNS Server here
and a Secondary...both are working as advertised. We will
be decomishing the Primary Server as it is old and in need
of being sent out to pasture. Before I do this however I
need to somehow promote the Secondary to the Primary. At
this point we cannot go to Active Directory Integrated
zones but we will be doing that down the line. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Chris

Just go into the Secondary zone's properties and make it a Primary and trash
the old one.

Hopefully this is W2k (not NT4) if you;re getting ready to use it for AD.
