Second Request RE: Security Updates

The same security updates keep coming up to be downloaded
and installed. The same update number already appears in
my programs as having been installed previously. Is this
an update to the update or the same download already
installed? How can I prevent the auto update from
suggesting security updates that has already been
installed?
