Hello all

I was wondering and this is probably a stupid question but I have week old
keeping me awake and so brain is dead, I have a 312MB image on a 512CF that
is fixed, we have trend micro AV installed, however as it is protected by
EWF RAM whenever we reboot the new updates get wiped out.

So I am wondering, could we use partition magic to set up a D: drive that is
not EWF protected? Basically all we need to do is have about a 100MB
Partition but not partitioned.

Thanks!

Paul,

Are you asking if you can create more than 1 partition and leave non OS partition protected? If so then answer is yes.

Another question is whether AV program will settle with no write access to registry and system32 folders.

I do this on one of my images but its only a 10 meg partition for the D
drive.
Don't forget that after FBA , the C drive will grow quite a bit.
For that reason after FBA, I load the CF card into a different system as the
secondary drive and then compress the larger folders.
I advise you format the D drive partition AFTER FBA or the EWF might get
messed up.
