Second HDD

I am new to Vista, and am getting surprises constantly.

I have installed a second HDD that I intend to use for Ghost backup images.

Device manager sees the drive, but explorer does not, so Ghost does not see
it either.

The pop up reported the drive installed properly.

I feel totally inadequate here, what do I do to get this simple operation
running like it would in my past XP life?

A new HD needs to be formatted in order to use and be visible under
explorer.
This is done under Control Panel/Administrative Tools/ Computer
management/disk management.

Sounds like the drive isn't partitioned or formatted. Type Computer
Management in Start Search, open that then go to Disk Management,
right-click on the drive and perform any operations you need to.
