second HD

Hi,
I have win xp installed on SATA; now I added IDE on primary IDE channel -
I can see it in device manager but can not see it in my computer
what's wrong?

Have you been to Disk Management to initialize, partition and format the
disk? It will not be usable until you do.

thanks a lot - I can see it now
there is one problem - the volume of the HD is ~20GB but shows only ~ 2GB
that HD was used before as primary system disk
any suggestions?

Providing you haven't put any data on it, go back into Disk Management and
delete the partition on that disk. It then should become 20GB of
unallocated space and you can create a partition that will be the full size
of the disk.
 
it showed from the beginning only ~ 2GB of unallocated space - that why I
've got 2GB at the end .
I will try to delete partition and try again.
Any other way to start from scratch?
