I just installed a second hard drive and want to move many
programs and data to it. I successfully moved the My
Documents folders to the new drive. But XP is designed to
have programs save data in the Documents and Settings
folder on the C drive. My email program saves all data in
Local Settings\Application Data. Is there a way to move
these folders to my new drive and have the programs target
them there?

I am attempting to move the Documents and Settings folder
to my D drive. When editing the registry, there was a key
called '...Volatile Environment' with a value name of
HOMEDRIVE and value of C. Since the value name right
below it was HOMEPATH and had the Docs and Settings folder
it appeared that I may need to change HOMEDRIVE but I am
concerned that it may be associated with more than just
the HOMEPATH value. Does anyone know?
