Greetings

I have placed an Windows 2000 Pro drive into my new Window XP Pro box as a slave.

The C:\drive is a SATA but the D:\drive is IDE. And it is set-up alright.

Everything boots ok (except the beep codes, 1 and 1/2 followed by 5 pair of beep beep) and most everything seems ok. It is just
when I try to click on D:\ I get this error message, "Access denied".

I am the admin.

Any ideas?

you need to check your mobo manual for what the beep codes mean...
post back with the info if you can't sort it out

JS,

I have been here and there is no Security tab.

There isn't even a 'Advanced'

It appears I will have to give Knoppix. Trouble I must learn about finding a FAT32 drive that is big enough to handle all of the
files.

JS,

No I haven't tried that. I'll give it a try later.

Thanks JS.

JS,

Success in save mode. I found the Security tab, added me and that took quite a while before I got control back. But it worked.

Thanks for your persistence.
