Searhing any drive brings up the installer for Visio. How?

I wasn't sure whether to post this in a Visio group or here, but it's really
a Windows search and association problem, and I've never seen this before.

If I try to search any drive, say "C" Drive for example, if I put any single
character into either search box, it sets up the installer for Visio. I
have Visio 2002 and it seems to work okay. I don't have to hit the search
button or "enter" for this to happen. I haven't left the Visio CD-ROM in.
I had trouble opening it a couple months ago, so I uninstalled it and
reinstalled it. If I cancel the installer--I haven't let it get as far as
a Visio setup, and then put in my search term, then search behaves normally.

Does anyone have any idea why this occurs?

Kelly--

Some questions.

1) I searched checking to show all hidden files and Windows folders and
couldn't find autorun.ini files. I searched manually as well which often in
my hands turns of files and folders XP search doesn't, and I couldn't find
them. I also searched in all of the Visio folders and found no autorun.ini.
I know I'm missing them. Any help as to where?

2) If I find them and rename or delete them, does that mean Visio won't
automatically install if it's uninstalled and a CD is put in, or that I need
to recreate them for any other reason?

3) Does this occur and analagous situations because the autorun.ini files
are corrupted?

TIA,

Chad Harris
