Can Microsoft Antispywae be used to remove searchweb2?
This piece of spyware keeps changing my searchpage and
reinstalling toolbars

Got to "Add/Remove Programs" and remove the Yahoo add-on
thingy from the toolbar. It is added on along with Yahoo
toolbar junk. Also, here is a Google search result for
help: http://www.google.com/search?
hl=en&q=remove+searchweb2&btnG=Google+Search

Don't think MS Anti- or any Anti-spyware will do it.
Also, remember that this is a Beta version, and therefore
not entirely trustworthy like AdAware, Spybot S&D, or
Webroot SpySweeper.

No it won't. Searchweb: I suffer it is extremely odious
and persistent. I do not know what to do with it.

Have you tested by doing a full, deep scan in safe mode?

If that has not worked, here are some suggestions:

1) do a tools, suspected spyware report--so that Microsoft is on notice that
this isn't getting cleaned.

2) Go to this forum, and follow the steps listed--they should be able to get
most bugs cleaned, including new ones.
