searching the web

every time i click "search" on yahoo or msn, i get "page
unavailable." i've downloaded the internet 6 service
pack, but i still can't search. everything else on the
internet seems to be working ok, except ability to search.
i've scanned for viruses, but mcafee says computer is
clean. any ideas? thanks.

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).

Symtom: Page cannot be displayed / Cannot find server or DNS Error

In the event you can not access a site and you believe it
may be due to an entry in the HOSTS file.

You can use a simple batch file to rename the HOSTS file "on-the-fly".

scan with more than one virus scanner some pick up stuff
others miss

I've got the very same problem. My favorites bar is

working fine, but every time I hit the search button
the "page is unavailable" pops up. Have not been able to
fix yet.
