I'm using XP Home at home with outlook express as newsreader. How do you do a search to try and find previously asked questions. So I can see if someone asked a question that I am looking for the ansewer for.

you would probably be the first person that ever searched this newsgroup to
see if a question was previously asked? 90% of the questions asked on a
daily basis are repeat questions that were probably just asked the day
before but people are too lazy to search and see. Also we have people
coming to this room that are not computer literate enough to search google
to find their problem.

|Hi Walt: Go to Edit>Find or Find in this folder.

That IS in OE.......

Get into the newsgroup of interest and then use the FIND command. With FIND,
you can search for the sender, by subject, and by a phrase that may be found
in the body of the post.

Since the OP mentioned OE, I can't imagine anyone using Google for this
purpose.
