How can I search multiple files in XP without typing the files in? It seems
impossible to copy and paste my filenames in the find dialogue

(e.g test.txt, test1,txt,test2,)

How about using a wild card like test*.txt?

You also might like the free third-party search tool Agent Ransack. It
is far superior to XP's searching ability. I install it on all my XP
boxen.

As Malke said. If not, type each file name separated by a semicolon.

Examples:

filename1;filename2;filename3
defrag.bat;deskband*;boot.ini
