searching for files and folders

you know when you search for a file or folder and say it
is called "apple". then the next time you search if you
put in "ap" it automatically comes up "apple". is it
possible to delete the memory of your searches? i have xp
professional. thanks.

Open Search. Select Change Preferences. Select Turn Autocomplete Off.

Sure can. Click "Change Preferences" then click "Change
files and folders search behavior". Either standard or
advanced, try either one to select.
