Hello,

searching via explorer for contained text is not working for all types of
files. It works for .txt, .doc, ...
But for example not for .bpf-files (Baan print-files). That are text-files
too, and can opened and edited with notepad.

How can i tell xp to search this files for contained text too?

Greetings

"Using the "A word or phrase in the file" search criterion may not work"

"Content Search Does Not Search All File Types for the Specified String"

You may want to use "Agent Ransack" on WinXP systems instead:

XYplorer is a shareware file manager that does not have this problem. It
searches for contained text in all types of files, even in binary files.
