I'm looking for a 16 volt output DC transformer plug to go with an AGFA
Snapscan 1212 scanner I bought at a second hand shop... please e-mail
me with details of purchase. Thank you.

I reckon any 15 to 16V DC power unit would work providing it's capabl
of producing at least 1 amp, these are usually easy to come by

Even a CB power supply 'may' work they usually give about 13.8V an
some you can tweek the voltage up alittle inside by adjusting a pot

The only criteria is to connect the polarity, that is the positive an
negative lead the correct way round and you'll need to use the correc
plug to connect to the unit

Do not be tempted to use anything above 16V though and stay clear o
units that gives an AC output instead of DC

One thing to bear in mind with used scanners is the CCFL lamp (Col
Cathode Flourescent Lamp), they look like the standard flourescen
lamp but smaller they don't use a heater to cause the discharge, yo
don't know if it's in good shape or not
