I have windows 2000 workstation service pack 4.

I'd like to be able to do a search for a file with a particular
author, keywords or subject on my system.

The fields are there under the properties->summary of file.

I see you can search from within MS Word, but how about a way of doing
it without opening an MS office application?

Thanks,
Buster

You can search using Outlook's Advanced Find component without opening a "MS office
application" by:

- Clicking Start > Search > Using Microsoft Outlook...
- Running the executable named: finder.exe
