I have no idea what is going on with my version of IE6.
If I do a search in any search site (google, lycos,
netscape), sometimes IE6 changes what I am searching for.
For example, if I type "mc" into the search bar, IE6
changes the search to look for "MC". Any help on this one
would be appreciated. This is a brand new computer which
only have windows updates added to it. I am considering
backing out one of the changes, but decided to ask here
first. Help please.

Joe

This is exactly what I mean. In the text below, IE6
replaced %N%J (remove %) with MC. Also please reply to
this board or to %j%o%e%y%m%a%e%d%e%[email protected]
(remove %).

Thanks, Joe

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
